geeketiquette.com— The thing is, geek dress codes don’t really match what the rest of the world thinks. So, here’s an attempt to clarify.

Wow, this might possibly be the most worthless article I have ever read. The only point it makes is that "Geeks" have more casual definitions of formal wear.....
Well, if dressing like a professional in a professional setting is too much for you to do, maybe you should find another line of work like digging ditch -- you'll still be make some REAL contributions there. In the mean time, I'll look the part of a professional and be the part of a professional. Unfortunately for you, you forget that most bosses aren't techies and most of the impression they have of you is from your appearance. But hey, if you like dressing in jeans and t-shirt while everyone else is in a suit, that's your prerogative.
Welp, I must say this article was useless - I wear jeans, and t-shirts - non- geek ones too. I also wear boots (work boots) - so I guess I look pretty normal.

I live in the U.K. and I have no idea what "frankenfurter outfit trackpants" are. Do they mean sweatpants?

Well I consider myself a pretty big geek but I dress like the rest of the world. Being a geek doesn't mean you have to look and act like a slob..
