torrentfreak.com — The Brits are downloading more free music than ever before and are less concerned about getting caught than they were last year. Why are they going to download even more next year? 91% say: ?Because it?s free!?

As a Christian I choose not to illegally download music (although I admit to doing it once to replace a scratched CD!). However there are even people in my Church who think nothing of downloading music or copying software. Pity God didn't make it clear as to whether "Thou shalt not steal" covered intellectual property rights... maybe the stone tablets were too small.

I meant that their prices were hiked up, not on a year by year basis as you assumed, but in general. CD's, DVD's and game prices have been disproportionately high in this country for years.

They succeeded by making a product that people liked, and played it locally, live. Now, we have bands hit the national sales level that nobody has heard of 2 months prior to their "debut", possibly never giving a real, live performance in their entire life (lip syncing, prefabricated music, etc), and fading away in the following 6 to 9 months with more debt and problems than when they started.
