> What is so wrong with watching them in the apple website?> Why is is so essential to save each trailer to your hard drive?Because watching them tiny-postage-stamp-sized is annoying. If you play them in an actual media player instead of the silly quicktime plug-in, you can watch them fullscreen, or any size for that matter.
To download live feeds such as Java, Flash, Music or Movie Trailers (etc...), just follow these simple steps:1. Press "Ctrl+S" to save the web page a) Example name: "test" b) Example save location: "My Documents"2. In "My Documents" open the folder "test_files"3. Go to "Detailed View"4. Order by "FileType"5. Just test out each ".mov" file (shouldn't be too hard)6. Copy/Cut the file out of the folder into another folder7. Delete the web page save file and folder
The DIGG link does not work anymore, but here's what I did:Using Firefox you can select View > Page Source and find the direct link for the movie in the code (should have a .mov on the end - you can search for it if you want). Copy and past this into another window and and then "Save Page As..." and you can save the movie. Not that hard. Probably do the same thing in other browsers. I find it handy for instructional videos I want to view on my laptop while I'm offline. Hope that helps someone!

I've been doing this on apple's site and others that embed videos for years. Wish somebody would make a firefox extension to automate it but no big deal. For most movies on apple just look at the source and grab any link that has .mov on it <a class="user" href="http://movies.apple.com/movies/wb/happy_feet/happy_feet_h.i480.mov">http://movies.apple.com/movies/wb/happy_feet/happy_feet_h.i480.mov</a> - Playlist not the real vid.and make sure that the number(480 in this case) has a h next to it and nothing else.<a class="user" href="http://movies.apple.com/movies/wb/happy_feet/happy_feet_h480.mov">http://movies.apple.com/movies/wb/happy_feet/happy_feet_h480.mov</a> - Good linkSometimes you need to add a w after the number, but that is rare.<a class="user" href="http://movies.apple.com/movies/wb/happy_feet/happy_feet_h480w.mov">http://movies.apple.com/movies/wb/happy_feet/happy_feet_h480w.mov</a> - Dead link, just a sample.
