I bought a calendar for the year 2012 (they're slightly cheaper if you buy them a few years before hand) and the last day of the calander rests at December 21, 2012.

You're right. Nostradamous predicted that also.But I was really shocked when our very own NASA, here in the U.S. predicted anearth melt-down for 2012, due to the global warming...plus they announced they have spotted a new earth forming in outer space. As a matter of fact, they are blown away by some other very strange things that are happening out there.I don't know guys, maybe this end times Bible stuff is true. Maybe Jesus is coming back to take us up into the clouds with him. Then let errrrrrrrrrrrr rip!Right?

Okay, well.. I have many "opinions" on this. Most of you probably do believe that it will end, most of you don't. I honestly don't think it will. There is many theroies behind all this. Question number 1: Who honestly knows when the world will end? Answer: Nobody. Some people believe that Angels above don't even know when it's going to end. I mean... honestly, the Mayans calender have nothing to do with this. "Anthropologists visit the temple sites," Mr. Barrios says, "and read the inscriptions and make up stories about the Maya, but they do not read the signs correctly. It's just their imagination... Other people write about prophecy in the name of the Maya. They say that the world will end in December 2012. The Mayan elders are angry with this. The world will not end. It will be transformed. The indigenous have the calendars, and know how to accurately interpret it, not others." So people please get over yourselves if you actually believe that it will end. You have nothing to worry about. It's all a myth, so just live your life like you've always done. Nothing will happen and if you STILL believe it will - Then we'll just on December 21, 2012. Hope this was worth reading.

I completely agree with everyone else here, I think this is going to be just like Y2K. I remember baking all that night, everyone else suggesting to have the bathtub filled with water, to have candles and flash lights ready, and I had my two young daughters baking all night. I waited laughing, as we frosted the gingerbread men, waiting for ones who told me that it was coming to admit they were wrong. This will be fun, I'll be taking that day off and wait to watch the would be naive wait for the impending demise that is only a thought, and laugh as this too shall pass and life will go on, and I'll still have to be at work the following day!!!!
