Recycle it. There is no reason to keep an old power hog under performing PC in use. it is a stupid drain on the power grid and hurts the environment.

#6 - Screw using it as a TV, I'm still using a Gateway CRT from 1995 that still works like the day I got it. My Princeton LCD from 2001 on the other hand is about to die, and even new the LCD couldn't display the color-range or use the same refresh-rate as my CRT. Until I started putting WoW on my CRT I didn't realize there was a texture on the back of the /who pane, I thought it was just straight black.

How about as a torrent box. Install a lightweight Linux distro and add a BitTorrent client (ideally one with a web UI, which I think Deluge has), and just have it running all the time. I'd consider doing this if I had an old desktop machine handy.
