cbsnews.com — "University of Florida police were justified in using a Taser against a student who refused to stop questioning Sen. John Kerry on campus last month, according to a state investigation released Wednesday." Shameless attention whore or victim of anti-free speech police state?

The consequences will be visited on the pig who did this. Their fame will be lifelong. Their kids will be marked with their parents shame. Their careers are dead-ended. Their prospects ruined. That is the least that should happen to every torturing pig.

Lapse of logic here.1. Police grab him for no apparent reason.2. Andrew asks what he did wrong, struggles, police threaten violence for struggling.3. Police commit violence and then justify it with his resistance of the unjustified violence. It's human nature to try to defend yourself when you're being attacked, whether your attackers are in uniform or not. If it was clear, or if they just told him WHY he was being arrested and he resisted you would have a case. But it wasn't, and they didn't, so police state. Sadly, the general public enjoys seeing people in pain, that's their entertainment; why else are the videos from "America's funniest home videos" funny?

Bulls**t - the surpreme court has upheld that it is LAWFUL to resist and UNLAWFUL arrest. They are not freaking unerring gods Chompy. MY RIGHTS supercede THERE "desires"With POLITICAL protest etc.. "after the fact" is too damned late. THEY MET there objective they removed you. Thats why most never get charged. They just wanted to violate your rights and a unjustified arrest does that.

But we are not talking about a gun Josell we re talking about a taser. I will comply with police orders at gun point for NO other reason than the SAME reason I will comply with a CRIMINALS orders at gun point. That gun can kill me. BUT when an officer draws a GUN there are CONSEQUENCES to that action. He is a public servant with at least SOME oversight. To use that GUN especially in a VERY public setting comes with consequences responsibilities and MORAL inhibitions. You also have the crowd of people to deal with.ALL of these inhibitions and natural restrictions VANISH with a taser. NOT ONLY THAT but a taser is even MORE effective than a gun since it compels 100% absolute submission with NO "brutality" associated. ie NO consequences NO moral inhibitions and NO CHANCE for resistance VALID or otherwise.I can imagine innumerable scenarios where passive resistance is absolutely justified and perfectly legal ESPECIALLY in a public venue where you can get the attention of other citizens to an injustice occurring.

Also, not as pressing a question but an interesting one, has Kerry spoken out on this? What is his take on what happened to the kid?

you f**king moron. he didn't spew any conspiracy theories. he quoted a recently published article and asked Kerry to confirm whether he was in Skull and Bones. He was not out of his allotted question time and was completely in the control of the cops at the time of Tazing.
