dailyfueleconomytip.com — If you give plenty of space, you won't have to tap dance on your brake and accelerator pedals. Not surprisingly, smoother drivers tend to get much better gas mileage. And, I'm a poet and don't even know it.

@lucutus Nah it won't, that's a fairytale. The fine for tailgating is actually much higher than for 'obstructing the passing lane'. And tailgating can actually cost you your license if you get caught often enough.

If you had referenced it, I would have never thought you wrote it and never flagged it. I guess you should probably not try to take credit for other peoples' work, unless you want to take credit for their mistakes. It's pretty s**tty to post a poem or lyrics and not credit the author.

Good common sense in this article. Tailgating also ends up as accidents in bad weather or while yip-yapping on the cell phone when the car in front of you breaks. Another good gas saver is not to "gun" it at a traffic light when it turns green, or speed past someone because they drive slow.

I'm sure that you can't convince the numskull drives here in LA county of it...it doesn't matter to them, they would rather just drive over the top of you to get to nowhere.
