wouldnt it make more sense to buy gold, and not pay down your debts.. assumming they are fixed interest rates, your debts are being devalued along with the dollar. This assumes your income increases to match the dollar.
I re-fi'ed at the bottom of the interest rates. If they go lower due to the Fed easing, I could take another bite at the apple. Then bring on the staglflation and I get one third of my house for free.

"Then all the outsourced jobs to India will be coming back to he US and we may even get to see companies in India outsourcing their jobs to the US! Sweet!"How many americans are ready to work for indian salaries under indian work conditions? ... none?
"This is bad, people."NoIt is very good. It is the end of the american empire. That is extremely good for the world, the future and and hope of having a livable world.
"The US will also feel the pinch on imported goods. "So what will happen with US based infrastructure when oil suddenly costs twice as many $ in a year or so? The rest of the world will be able to afford oil, increase consumption, while the US will be fleeing the suburbs and living in small inner city sprawl apartments, 4 per room. Hmmm selfdefeating effect, whole inner cities jammed by traffic, pollution rampant increase in crime, hysteric government reactions, police crackdowns.I smell brazil moving north.
