blogs.discovermagazine.com — If you?ve been staring at the Sun lately, then you may have noticed it looks a wee bit bigger today than it did a few days ago. So...we're closer to the sun during winter? I know the earth tilt affects it but I thought we were closer. Could have sword I had a science teacher say that. Oh well, glad to learn. Wish it would help warm the earth some, it's freakin' freezin' out there! The fact we're closer probably keeps us from freezing to death (an intelligent plan).
