artofadambetts.com— Organize your dock better. Put these dividers between applications so that you can have less of a mess and can group the same types of applications better.

Damn, I thought this would be some sort of haxie for the dock that would allow more separaters like the one between the applications and the folders/trash. Turns out it's just a few icons. Cool, but...eh.
Rather than add extra complexity to OS X by installing yet another add-on, you can easily organize your Dock applications by creating folders full of aliases for the apps you'd like to group together. Drag this folder to the Dock (the area to the right of the Dock's default divider is reserved for files and folders) and you're done. You can also replace the default folder's icon, but the best part is that when you click-and-hold on the folder in the Dock, a pop-up window shows the folder's contents for easy selection. I keep individual icons for my most used applications in the main part of the Dock. Everything else I want easy access to is also in the Dock, but in folders.Don't add needless complexity to your Macintosh. Computers are complicated enough already!
Definately, Quicksilver changes everything. if its ever not running, i get so confused on how to do things as i got quickilver as soon as i switched to macs. the whole idea of a start menu seems wrong now.

I prefer TransparentDock:http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/11295It's not free, but costs only $8.00 - Does more than just clear the dock's colors also.
