edery.org — "Apparently, discrimination is becoming a problem in World of Warcraft. Some players are refusing to accept other players into their group unless they can chat in perfect, unbroken English. This phenomenon is being blamed on a widespread backlash against the practice of gold farming, which is unfairly associated with non-English speakers"

Cause WOW is fun as s**t and I'm going to do whatever I want. Part of assembling a team Is selecting your members. Try tearing through a dungeon without a healer! I'm only raciest toward the alliance. :)

@GTAcrimelordGood comment, although I'm a little uncertain if you are agreeing with me or adding to what I said. In either case, what you mentioned certainly follows my concept of playing with those you know and trust.

@RikerSorry for the confusion, I'm actually not really sure why I aimed my comment towards you specifically since my comment was more of a general comment on discrimination of gold farmers on WoW getting out of hand, so disregard. Lol

As far as I am concerned, gaming, being a more static and difficult to control world than real life, has far greater boundries than anywhere else. Perhaps if a game was released with a built in translator. You submit your languange from a list when you start the game then whenever you say something, it is instantly translated to the languages of anyone around you and only they see their respective languages. On a side note however, I sometimes can't tell if someone doesn't speak english or whether they just have the IQ of your average chimp which unfortunately is the case in most online games.

Let me think about this. Someone is whining that a person who speaks English wants to be able to communicate in English with other players. Um, what am I missing?rnrnIf a bunch of, say, Germans were playing I would not be amazed that they would prefer to communicate with -gasp- other German-speaking players rather me.rnrnCome on, people. Insert a life here!
