I've PM'd the install of computers in the grossing room of a hospital...also survey equipment in the Delivery Room of the Labor and Delivery deportment after a baby is born...also worked on computers in the loony bin of the hospital...not fun...
Yes. Workload went from supporting 200 users to supporting 80+ companies across the globe, ensuring a company that can drop a billion in stock and cash on buying another company has a web presence despite the fact that our website was written in 1999 by a high school student it seems, and has more holes in it than a fishing net. Oh, and designing the network architecture for a new plant in Mexico. Oh, and being called on as the only IT person in the entire corporation of over 40,000 people that can address complaints from our ISP before they cut off our DS3 lines and take the entire company back to the dark ages? Oh, and being in charge of restructuring our 80+ "island" companies into a comprehensive one-forest domain structure as opposed to hundreds of individual network trusts.......Just in the past year. 82 cents. Yes, I'm bitching that my responsibilities have gone from a 60 million dollar plant to a multibillion dollar company with a 3.5% raise.
