Well, I've been hearing this case go back and forth now for some time, all because some jerk-faced A-Hole executive can't afford the insurance on his Ferrari, so lets make up some new product (not that we're not making enough to suit our lifestyle) that can't be hacked.Well - here's the thing people and it's something I've stressed about for some time, they make more money off of you because of lawsuits. Why just get $20 per DVD movie when they can come after you for millions due to copyrighted material infractions. Hell, why stop there. The government does that for drugs, if drugs are such a controlled substance why does half the population control them? Our Government can spy on another country and probably could tell you if Bin Laden jerked off last night, why don't they do anything about the drug traffic control on the borders or even within the US? Because they make money off the lawsuits. If I were to own a technical company that offered some form of entertainment like the movie industry I too would put out a product saying that "it can't be hacked" then intentionally push the product out with some loophole for someone to find and exploit to high hell then post it all over the Internet. It's like what SCO did to the Linux community, they just sat there and waited for things to accumulate and gain popularity before confronting and making a huge deal out of ~80 freakin lines of code.My opinion is not a conspiracy theory nor fact, it's just what I see is happening and it seems to happen a lot in the world. My favorite saying has always been "if they make it, we can break it" and it is in fact very true. I know for a fact that the coders and hackers in the world (the real good ones) can find loop-holes in anything and exploit them and live to share their story. But the problem is, when we find these loopholes we are not fighting the "big company", simply put we are fighting ourselves. If I could live rich with Millions of dollars to my name I would be very happy, fortunately for myself I make enough to keep my head above water, but the cost of living is getting more expensive now that more and more people are relying on the technology that surrounds us, and the loopholes are only making things more expensive. I have a bad feeling that somebody some day is going to do "the hack that changes the world". When that happens I don't want to be here.
