I don't even know what that means... Do you mean differential calculus?Or to find the derivative of a function perhaps? Please explain this new "derivative" calculus you speak of...
I have submitted a few stories that never made it to front page, only to see someone else a week after post the same article, with the same abstract, and make it to hundreds of Diggs.
actually they even tried removing dupe check for a time.. but if you want to email me with all 13,000 stories i miss a year.. i really wont mind if you cry dupe.. its not like the same people are digging the same articleand thats probably the most important point. You cant say diggers have short memories when they never saw the digg in the first place
What is with all these people demanding their right to spam Digg with dupes? No, you don't have to read the entire archive; Digg gives you a search feature. When you submit a link, it pops up a series of links that may be dupe. It takes no more time to check a dupe than it does to submit the link in the first place. What you are in fact admitting, is that your sole motivation is to stroke your arrogant ego by commanding the attention of the masses and being more important because your submission made it to the top of the heap today, and damn everything else.Do you also go to the restaurant and stand at tables reading the menu to every other patron?Do you videotape every TV program and mail copies to your whole neighborhood on the off chance that they didn't see it?Do you go to the library and follow people around pulling books off the shelf going "Have you read this yet? Have you read this yet? Hey, look, I found another book! Did you know about all these books in here? Have you read this yet? Have you read this yet?"What could be wrong with you that you don't see how this makes people want to kill you and dance in your blood? You're the same people I banned from my inbox back in 1992 for sending me the "Top Ten Reasons Why You Might Be a Redneck." for the 500th time. And now I'm finding out why you always acted so hurt when I asked you not to, and why you continued to do it anyway: you do it deliberately out of malice. You're worse than spammers: you're meatloafers!
I dont think digg users are stupid / dumb...but i guess its the popularity of digg back firing on it. Just because digg is popular a commuity of people (or a person with multiple accounts) digg a story just to bring it over the front page for personal intrest. This is one of the flaws while implementing WoC (Wisdom of Crowd).
FYI, the Daily Show is not fake news. The Onion is fake news. There's a difference. The Daily Show is an over-the-top satirical perspective on real news. The Onion actually makes stuff up.

There is no branch of calculus called "derivative" calculus. And if there were, it wouldn't be the same as differential calculus.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Differential_calculus#Confusion
