readwriteweb.com — Digg released its official iPhone app and in many ways it's more usable than the website itself. The app is a little buggy, doesn't allow you to post comments and doesn't include the video or images section of the site - but it's still quite good.

This and the other factor that it crashes a lot are the reasons the app isn't better than the website.

I just finished sending him an email about that, specifically asking for the picture of me in question. I don't understand how he can make such far-fetched generalizations about not only digg's users, but myself. I'm 20 years old, which last I checked, means I'm not a child. :/- Chris

Reading a story is not interesting unless you read the comments as well.

The quality of comments has gone down but not that bad. At least not as bad as some people make it to be. I mean, you can still find intelligent conversations in almost every story. Unless you only read one story per day that hits the front page, in which case you most likely just end up reading the bad comments.

@jtorkbob: I think you may have confused an iPhone with an infant.

I wish I could jokingly use a few racial slurs (like a YouTuber), but I don't want my account to be deleted. :(

is it just me or can I NOT click on links in comments from the iPhone app?

I dugg all of you, Digg is all about the comments. Shame that this one won't really be read now that it's a few days old. That's one of the downsides of how Digg works; topics only stay fresh for a day at most and it's largely a waste of time commenting on anything older that.
