Digg continues to set the bar for creativity and responsiveness to users. These changes aren't what anyone was expecting, but overall they're going to be great for sharing and contributing content. I think it's a testament to the Digg staff that they continue to be creative, yet allow Digg to be user controlled. My only concern is the potential take over by the "Videos", with the stupid viral videos becoming the focus. Can't argue that Digg has a great community and a genuine staff, though, so these changes will probably only be for the better.

I think it would be a lot easier to read if you moved the picture of the video back to the right side. All i want to know is the title and # of diggs, not a stupid snapshot of a frame that is of no use to anyone and creates a giant clutterf**k.

Still can't make something beside "Technology" the default category. I want to be able to make "All Topics" my default.

You can.Go to:News > All Topics > Set Topic as Digg Home (it's on the right side, just above the Friends box, has a little house with a plus sign)You can set any category or sub-category as your Digg home. It will be your home when you login. I love the re-design. I didn't like the comments system at first but now I realized the only reason I need to support it---the load times for diggs with a lot of comments has been cut down significantly. -- Karim Baz
