Besides the Netherlands (which, for purposes of our opponents, alternately doesn't exist or is Hell-on-earth) the other hilarious part of cannabis prohibition is the hemp farming part. In addition to being stupid, and anti-capitalist (in a free market, hemp competes with cotton absent the goons with guns & cages) it reflects our "citified" culture.Think about it...Anyone with ANY experience in farming would know that filling the air with male cannabis pollen might NOT be the best possible thing for people in the business of growing sinsemilla (Spanish for "without seed") buds. Another obscure part of the prohibitionist "duh files," but 99% of 'em have 0 clue about this. Ask and you'll see.

Undue the damage of safety lighters and seat belts and safetys on guns. Stupidity, by nature, is programmed to be bred out.

How many people here realize that "High Times" ran full page ads for Ron Paul, and charged the Dr. nothing.

First of all, potheads are a lot less likely to get behind the wheel of a car under the influence than someone who is, say, DRINKING ALCOHOL. And second of all, it does not whatsoever have the same effect as alcohol, and most people who drive while under the influence of marijuana drive SLOWER because they are paranoid, not erratic like people who drive drunk. And last, alcohol is legal and there is no medicinal use for alcohol, no GOOD reason for it at all, it is just a personal choice. Why do people treat marijuana differently? Well, they should, but not in the way that they do now. It should be respected and used wisely, just as alcohol should. I am just saying that I do not understand why alcohol is legal, and pot isn't. I do not know anyone who has died from a pot overdose (because it's pretty damn near impossible) but I have had 2 family members and one best friend die from alcohol poisoning. Does that seem like it should be legal to you?
