basugasubakuhatsu.com — Media Temple is supposedly offering Digg-Proof hosting with their Grid Server technology. Let's see if the grid can actually handle the digg effect on an average Wordpress blog running PHP 5, MySQL 4.1 and Wordpress 2.0.5!

Yes I know its from September. But what I was talking about was they have no point in complaining about load. If they offer a hosting plan for say 1GB space and 1TB bandwidth, they have no right to ask the client to remove the site as long as he doesn't cross the specified space and bandwidth. Its the hosting providers responsibility to handle the load.

they approved of the testand media temple says they did well in the comments of that siteif you dont want to read through the comment read this mt guys post hereJason McVearry Oct 31st, 2006 at 2:47 pmWow,So this is yet another test to see if we, (mt) Media Temple, are truly digg proof..i think we faired pretty well ;-)People refreshing your page and digging constantly creates a mock-DDOS attack btw. You certainly suffer from your external-calling links as EVERY time the page is reloaded, you’re calling your stat program and whatever other services you have hosted externally.Hung..glad to have you on (mt)!Cheers,Jason McVearryjason@mediatemple.net

Grid-Service, Grid Hosting, GS, whatever you want to call it, it's a marketing buzzword. All they are offering is clustered hosting, which plenty of hosts offer.
