The company has hired Tom Shin as its new head of sales from Yahoo, where he was one of the top sales people and head of the Northwest sales region.

Hmmmm. Waiting for the string of "Digg users are tech savvy and tend to use ad block software, and are pretty immune from advertising anyway..." Monetizing (I f**king hate that word) sites is a huge turn off to regular users unless they are very tied in with the subject matter and done very smartly... any site using AdSense is just a huge turn off and a big yawn to many now. Blogs with a narrow column of short text designed around ads, ditto. So, smart tied in advertising. Sounds like a job for someone from Yahoo!Oh. That's why i stopped using Yahoo! a long time ago...
