wired-vig.wired.com— "A news-oriented bookmarking site called Digg is giving Slashdot a run for its money. Indeed, a good "Diggdotting" is melting down servers all over the net."

Slashdot was/is turning into a politics site. There has been a noticeable lack in real information or news - or at least it is going down. I like the way digg is laid out...
"Digg-dotting" is a pointless and silly amalgamation that attempts (and fails) to align Digg and Slashdot in a clever and meaningful way (the two sites aren't related either)."Digg-dotting" also has an awkward ring to it, and kinda leaves you with the feeling of running with your pants around your ankles, or choking on a chicken bone. Maybe at the same time. I'd like to think we're a bright enough crowd to recognize the lameness of this "digg-dotting" term, and will work together to banish it from this site forever. What we need is a replacement term that feels natural and catches on easily. In place of "digg-dotting", I propose the following term instead: "Digg Bombing". Like, "That site was digg-bombed yesterday and I couldn't reach it."Other fun little sayings like, "That site was beaten to death with the digg-stick" are fun, but are too lengthy to be used regularly in common speech. "Digg-bombed" is more convenient, and any digger will immediately know what you mean when you say it - even if they haven't adopted the term yet.So be a buddy and just start using the "digg-bomb" term in your comments from now on. The rest will follow. Say it with me all together now - "Digg-bombed, digg-bombed, digg-bombed". See? It's already become second-nature.

I don't even know the other site. But it is obvious how popular Digg has become.
