blogs.zdnet.com — Over the last 24 hours all hell broke loose on the social news site Digg. In order to stay the right side of the law, the story was pulled from Digg's database. But it didn't end there.

The whole matter has got out of hand. The Digg management tackled the issue incorrectly, likewise the Digg community got overexcited. Even the traditional press (e.g. the BBC) got consumed by what should have been a rather simple debate to diffuse. I can't deny it hasn't been interesting to read, but a lot of it shouldn't have happened.
