@Myztry: Possibly, I missed out on the arcade thing by a couple of years (I was born in 1979, so by the time I was old enough to play NES/SMS were pretty much what we were cutting our teeth on)...
@antdude thanks, you too!@djrbx I was a lurker for a little while too, but eventually began submitting stories. Back then, you could actually get something on the home page without being a power user. I think that's what made digg grow so fast.
I don't mind so much about stopping dupes, but grouping them properly is better. Cause there are usually really weakly researched articles that get high votes because they were first or spammed on twitter first etc.. but then later down the line the same story is researched into with articles that have more information.It'd be nice to have the most informative version as the prominent.
If digg is really a "user driven community", why do I keep seeing the same peoples' submissions reaching frontpage more frequently than an average user's submissions??
