blog.digg.com— Over the next few days, some of you will see Digg Ads appear in various placements throughout the site as we test this new ad platform

Which would you rather have, crappy banner ads about whitening teeth or relevant ads that fit in with other articles. I think if Digg Ads produce well enough they will start to replace the banner ads instead. I know I would rather see more relevant advertising focused more on Digg users.
If the burying isn't working, it sounds like a bug. Can you give us more details about what does or doesn't happen? Do you have a javascript enabled, for instance? Can you refresh and try again? Also... comments are a very likely future feature... we wanted to get an alpha out into the wild and comments would've taken a while.
"People are going to bury ads just because they know it costs someone else money. Worst system ever."So the people who are actually annoyed by the adverts will get more revenue for Digg. So can't give out for them for not supporting the community. I am pretty sure the advertisers would want the option to remove adverts from those who will automatically bury (it is the only way I can protest at the new annoyance).
I just passed up an ad that I really liked. I've loaded the page maybe 30 times so far and can't find it. How do I get to a list of the current ads that are being presented?
Just because they have decided to be upfront with ABP and true process behind the advertising, I am going to turn off ABP and give the adds a try. I have already used one of them to get me hooked on Defying Gravity.
I doubt my response will ever get noticed down here but here goes:I am half way ok with these new types of ads except when the thumbnail does not match anything to do with the ad. One of the Toyota floor mat ads is a prime example. The thumbnail shows a floor mat with a strip cut out, the title says it is Toyota's solution to the floor mat recall. Clicking through to check out the story, it is nothing like what the combination of title and thumbnail suggest, I wanted a solution of scissors and supper glue and am instead given a you-tube clip of some cars floor-mats and subtitling saying that some cars may need an area of the floor re-sculpted. If you let advertisers use the ads, they should at least use truthful ad practices and not falsely advertise. -$0.02
