blog.wired.com— While you were enjoying your weekend, one DiggNation fan was allegedly getting thumped by Revision3's legal team.

I've used diggdown for awhile now, and one thing I noticed while I was on the site was that Striker encouraged people to donate to Rev3. Yes he accepted donation too, but that was for keeping the site running. Not for profit.
Five dollars a month... But isnt the whole point of a freaking podcast to let users freely download and upload to their favorite device. Rev3 demanding donations from fans is crazy.
It's one thing to blame it on a trademark issue, but he changed his site's name and url, so that he would no longer use your trade mark. This is obviously nothing to do with the trade mark.
It is blatantly obvious that Digg was blocking previous postings of this exact topic from reaching the front page. Perhaps they were hoping it would just go away. Digg has therefore lost all credibility in by books.
Calling them hypocrits is incorrect with your example because AllofMP3.com got around certain legal issues by owning (supposedly) the rights of the music in Russia. Also, this is why they were so cheap. Was it legal, yes but was it unethical probably. Then again, how many Diggers use other torrent sites or Oink? And, in regards to another user claiming they 'demand' the donations. They still provide the content for free, just a mere 2 days after the others. If you crave the show that much you can't wait till Tuesday, I would suggest working half an hour or opening up a Lemonade Stand on the weekend to make 5 extra bucks for the month...just a thought.

It's all about the Gold. After all, it's not personal, it's business.
