legitreviews.com — LR found that Enhanced Full Dynamic Lighting mode uses different render paths on the ATI Radeon HD series than the NVIDIA GeForce series of video cards. The result is that Radeon HD series cards won't render some objects that the NVIDIA cards do with the same exact setting.

Graphical glitches annoy me, too. There's one I see every time I play WC3FT online. The lobby has two horizontal 'tears' - not related at all with vsync setting. Vsync is automatically on. It sounds silly, but it annoys the s**t out of me. I've sent bug reports about it once. Happens on a 8800GT and Core 2 Duo build.
