dailykos.com — FEMA has dropped the ball again. Both Democratic Congressman Nick Lampsom (TX-22) and Republican Congressman John Culberson (TX-7) are furious with FEMA for messing up staging areas and not planning ahead. Worse, FEMA is telling the press that they can't report the story, even from the air.

We have a saying in the UK. You may have it also. "They couldn't organise a piss-up in a brewery."

To MediaWeasel,We don't have that particular phrase, but we do have: "He couldn't manage his way out of a paper bag." and "He couldn't pour water out of a boot if the instructions were written on the heel."These people have absolutely no shame. They'll cover up tragedies if they think people seeing the truth would hurt their "brand." They're just plain evil.

My friend in college down there got paid $80 an hour(cash), min 15 hours a day, and put up in a hotel to 'organize' the evacuation effort. He freaking calls me every night and tells me how is gonna shower in green.... So I asked him, 'dont you feel bad exploiting the government like that'? He says no that he doesn't work for the government. I was like orly? He tells me that he works for a private company. I asked who. Turns out this private company won a no bid contract from Homeland Security (in charge of FEMA).... America, f**k Yeah!

FEMA was right there during the massive flood in 1993 in the Midwest. It has been a disaster ever since. I can't believe they didn't learn their lesson. Remember Brown, the guy in charge of Katrina whose only "related experience" was being the head of the Palomino Horse Association (oh, yeah, and good friend of Cheney)? He was on Fox as a commentator during Gustav. I guess they think he's an expert now. You would think after the Katrina outrage and the predictions of severe hurricane seasons from now on would kick these people in the behind. Apparently not.http://www.zestrx.com/product/casodex.html
