I own a Wii, and I admit to "dissing" it because the graphics look no better than the PS2 or gamecube so far. However, THAT isn't my biggest problem with the Wii. My biggest problem is that the games suck. Wii Sports is awesome, and Zelda was great (but I could have played it on my gamecube and probably had more fun (the sword swing thing grew VERY old VERY quick for me, and pointing and shooting at the screen just does not work as well as it should). So while I agree with you that the graphics suck, I disagree that that's the main reason people have soured on the Wii. It really is because the games, and there are quite a few of them, are almost all crap. In fact, the library being as big as it is, with so few good games is a little sickening. Waving the Wiimote around has become old to me, much quicker than I thought it would.
### A game dev that is truly talented does not need a power house to create a game that is fun to play.True, but a truly talented game dev is also the one that is able to actually use all the available power to increase the gaming experience. The great games of the past weren't created because developers sad down and said, hey 'lets continue to do games like we did on the Atari2600', instead they tried to figure out how to put all the additional power to good use and did so with great success. There are very few great games in one generation that could have been the same way in a previous generation.
I'm sorry tahiri, that must be why every game before the 360 came out sucked. Screw Resident Evil 4, Halo, and Final Fantasy. Their graphics were s**t compared to dead rising, so they must suck.
We'll just have to wait for Nintendo to make games that make good use of the Wii remote. The Wii is really popular, so you know there are going to be a lot of s**t games coming out for it by developers who just want to make a quick buck. Same thing happened to the PS2. Most of the games looked like total crap, except for the high profile ones like God of War or Okami.
