cnn.com — Despite their 2006 campaign promises, an overwhelming majority of Democrats in the House have NOT made their Earmarks public. Only 31 of 435 Representatives provide information about their earmark requests. Kudos to CNN for digging up some actual news besides Paris's jail diet.

This is more roof that both parties are pretty corrupt. This is especially discouraging because I consider myself a Democrat. Fiscal transparency and accountability was a HUGE part of the 2006 elections and, just like their promise to get out of Iraq, the Dem's have not held true to their campaign platforms.

I agree... I'm independent but lean progressive and vote more for the person rather than the party. But now I'm starting to believe we are voting for two sides of the same corrupt coin. I can't believe that my Representative Henry Waxman didn't respond to CNN's request.I'm glad there are reporters still out there that are not blinded by party politics and can call bulls**t when they see it. This is starting to make me wonder why the dems caved in so easily to letting the war continue... my gut is that they're taking in just as many donations from companies profiting from the war as the republicans... oh wait... my gut is right:http://www.opensecrets.org/
