This is all apart of the anti-internet propaganda to try and destroy its anonymity and bring in ISP censorship.....

That's about what I thought when i read it. Its not like the first hand full over servers were steam powered back in the 1870's.

Probably because so many are still using Windows XP (due to Vista being a flop at launch) which they bought before any service pack was released and therefore IE6 is bundled with it (although I do believe SP2 or SP3 installs IE7 but I could be wrong). This of course is worsened by the fact that IE is integrated into windows' file manager itself allowing ActiveX controls to have full control of your computer and no easy way to remove them without third party utilities (which malware developers just LOVE exploiting as you can guarantee every piece of malware is manifested as a process that runs at startup and an unwanted activeX control both of which exist to prevent the other from being safely removed or disabled).IE's vulnerabilities is for another discussion though. From what I read, this article seems to have very little to do with browsers themselves.
