timesonline.co.uk— Sceptics question US military's accusations that Iran is fomenting a campaign of violence against US troops in Iraq.

A friend of mine did 2 tours in Iraq. He told me about these new IEDs last year. The military has known for a long time that they were coming from Iran. This intel has been coming from the boots on the ground not from Washington.
When we go to war we sign an undetermined number of death warrants. War guarantees the deaths of soldiers and civilians. How about we give them the benefit of the doubt and immediately question the evidence that will take us to war. I mean... if it's good evidence it WILL stand up to scrutiny, and if it doesn't stand up to scrutiny then it's not good evidence. We shouldn't be wasting the lives of our troops on knee-jerk reactions and shaky intelligence.Even if the evidence is solid, which in this case I think it is, we need to consider whether it's in our country's interest to go to war with Iran. I personally think the best thing for the US is to get the hell out of there and let the chips lie where they land. That's what's best for America, and I for one don't care if it's what's best for the Iraqis and Iranis, although, in this case I think it is.Some people forget that our founding fathers viewed government as an evil, albeit a necessary one, and designed our government to be the least evil possible. I say that evil doesn't deserve the benefit of the doubt.
"What, do you think countries do not need oil?"Countries need oil, yes, but why would the US (richest country in the world) need to go over and take it by force? Oil might be a good cause for war if the nation were poor and there were no other manner of procuring the oil (even then, I don't think it passes muster), but the US, home of capitalism, should be buying oil, not stealing it. You really do think it's a game of Civilization, don't you?
You people make me sad. No real care for American troops, no real support for America. I hope you all reap a world without America as the dominant superpower. You may find it less to your liking then you realize.
