huffingtonpost.com— Democratic incumbents face the most threatening political environment since the Republican landslide of 1994—and they know it. The trends are all moving in the wrong direction.

Uninformed people don't like change because they simply don't know how they will be affected by it. And Since its the opposing team, they assume the worst, even if they don't have the slightest clue.
"The only problem is that the reps have shown that they can consistently come together as a party when the chips are down... Something the dems could never do..."Except in 2006 and 2008, right?
Really? "In fact, until the 1980s, Democrats still had much control over Southern politics. It wasn't until the 1990s that Democratic control collapsed, starting with the elections of 1994, in which Republicans gained control of both houses of Congress, through the rest of the decade. Southern Democrats of today who vote the Democratic ticket are mostly urban liberals. Rural residents tend to vote the Republican ticket, although there are a sizable number of conservative Democrats."<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Democrats" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Southern_Democrats</a>
Dude, don't even go there.. The most common rhetoric I hear coming from Democrats regarding Republican candidates involves invoking the name of GWB.Even Jon Corzine pulled that one out against Chris Christie, but oops, Corzine's about to be put out on the street. Yay.
"Our only hope is to bash the other guy, instead of putting forth great ideas of our own.Vote against him instead of for me. WTF."Quite frankly, it's both a legitimate strategy and a valid reason for voting. The 2004 election taught me that one. I'd rather vote for a candidate I liked, with good ideas, but if none presents themselves, I will choose the least worst option.

That's racist and ageist (?) to assume that people with certain skin tones or ages will automatically vote a certain way.

Yeah - since the Democrats took control of Congress (January 2007), we have had nothing but peace, balanced budgets, rainbows, and fluffy bunnies

>> if you look at the seats that were lost it was mostly the legacy southern seats that the Democrats held. <<Bulls**t. Look at the f**king map. 1994 they lost seats from coast to coast.<a class="user" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_of_Representatives_elections,_1994#Overall_results" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_House_o ...</a>
