blog.wired.com — Breaking months of acrimonious deadlock, House and Senate leaders from both parties have agreed to a bill that gives nation's spy agencies the power to turn a wide swath of domestic communication companies into intelligence gathering operations, and that puts an end to court challenges to telecoms.

The Democrats didn't have to bring this up at all. They are as owned by corporate America as the Republicans, they simply aren't quite AS evil. It's not going to change unless we stop putting center-right Democrats and far right Republicans into office. Vote left or it will only continue.

More fear, uncertainty and doubt."revert back to what it was like before food safety was regulated (as he wants to abolish the FDA)"Did I miss the part of the Constitution that gives federal gov't the power to regulate food safety? As if state gov't couldn't conceivably do that."You don't have to do much research to find out about the dozens of inventions/discoveries that exist today BECAUSE of government funded research"You have no way of knowing what progress would have come from that money if it was privately spent instead of taken directly from our paychecks."I didn't vote for Paul because he doesn't believe in regulating business, which means no anti-trust laws, work-safety laws, minimum wage laws, and CHILD-LABOR laws..."... at the federal level. Again, you demonstrate a lack of understanding on the separation of federal and state responsibility."I could go on, but I guess I am just too stupid..."I wouldn't say stupid, so much as ignorant. Study the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and read the arguments leading up to its creation in the Federalist and Anti-Federalist papers.

Half this country wants guns made illegal huh... hmm... and the other half voted for Bush... I see the quandry.Whats a free intelligent person who is aware of history and wants to live as an individual human should to do?Fight to own something fundamental.Fight to own your identity... your citizenship.Real Estate translates as "royal estate"... aka the land of the king. We pay taxes to posses the land which the king/government owns.Your identity is the real estate of the king as well. The credit agencies treat you like they are your landlord... dont they? The revolution begins when the people realize that it all boils down to ownership. What do you own? What do you own at the moment of your birth? In a socio-economic universe, there is one state more empowering than freedom... one condition more powerful than free... ownership. Own yourself or be owned.Remember... Employment is better than enslavement for the owner of the job because the responsibility to feed, house, and clothe the worker has been outsourced in the name of human rights. Why were the slaves set free? Human rights?Dont be naive. The economy stupid... individual economic units are more valuable en masse than plantations ever could have been. And setting the slaves free made for a good read in history's ledger. But if you want to be truly free, you better own your life. If you have a job, you are a sucker, and you pay taxes the wrong way. By definition, you are the slave of the modern day.Good luck with that.

...which has nothing to do with this discussion. besides, i agree with his stance. i would have a problem with it if he was taking money from PACs, but he isn't, so it's fine with me.

You are right, I was misinformed when I made the comment, G-D forbid you should make one comment in error, the wrath of Diggers is really getting me down.....I agree, there is NO reason this bill should have even been brought up unless it is CYA for Pelosi and friends......
