At the beginning of September, TorrrentFreak reported that the Ukranian-based site would go down for possib

Half public? How long has it been since you've been on Demonoid again?

I used to max my bandwidth (160KB) on many torrents with Demonoid. Upload would get to 50KB sometimes.

but you might have had an intention to eat those lobsters and crabs... Eating them is one thing, throwing living things into boiling water to show your hate for the president is a completely different story

Thanks everyone for the help :)I did read the alternatives list but it doesn't say much about each one.I didn't get a invite code for Demonoid, Signed up when registrations were open. Hopefully they open again soon if worst comes to worst though.

Atleast it's over 1.. @Angel Bunny.. Sure you dont.. But your not being connected to peers via the tracker.. Only if torrent creator left DHT or PEX on etc..

Apparently we're going to two different demonoids, because the demonoid I was on specifically had a forum post which stated ignore your ratio it isn't working properlyThere is no tracker acceptance at demonoid, it isn't a full private tracker. Anyone can get a demonoid torrent anywhere and use it. It was private years ago but it hasn't been in a long time.My IP stays the same for months at a time and I am logged in. Sometimes if I'm not logged in because I haven't been there in a long time I can still grab demonoid torrents off btjunkie or another site and use it just fine without logging in.you can see someone mentioning the torrent sharing here:<a class="user" href="http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-43/t-how-private-demonoid-293462/page2/" rel="nofollow">http://filesharingtalk.com/vb3/f-bittorrent-43/t-h ...</a>someone on yahoo answers spells it out:<a class="user" href="http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090910225204AAtdK1P" rel="nofollow">http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=200909 ...</a>if you'd like I could draw you a picture.and here just a month ago:<a class="user" href="http://www.techenclave.com/p2p/about-demonoid-143875.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.techenclave.com/p2p/about-demonoid-1438 ...</a>"I suppose that is because demonoid torrents done have the passkey system as there are in private trackers. Demonoid is like a semi-private tracker. Not sure if i used a correct term or not. "seriously..30 seconds on google.

nope. the tracker allows peers without a login. However, the tracker does not let you search for the .torrent so I use public sites like mininova and filter only demonoid and it pops up with the .torrent files fine from demonoid. In other words, their web site (httpd) requires a login to use but their tracker does not.Since I use private trackers for 99% of everything I have DHT, PEX, disabled.
