crooksandliars.com — Once again, the best place to go for discussion of current events isn’t the mainstream media. Democracy Now!’s Amy Goodman allows Naomi Klein to ask former Federal Reserve Chairman about his statement that the occupation in Iraq is all about the oil and those missing billions from Iraq.

I fail to see what Allen Greenspan's ethnicity has to do with any of this. If you think his ethnicity does have something to do with it, then you are caught; hook, line and sinker. The people in charge (the real people in power) want you to think it is all about the Jews or Christianity vs Islam or all about right vs. left, etc. because so long as you buy into all that, you will never focus in on the real culprits who could care less about religion or ethnicity. They will enslave a white man as quickly as they would a black man or Jew. It doesn't matter.

9B gone and no investigation, that's what you get when you put thieves in charge of money, also happens when you put bankers in charge of money too.

You obviously haven't read much of Naomi Klein if you think she's a stupid anti-globalist. For instance she doesn't object to poor people in other countries working in the textile industry - she just wants them to move closer to the richer countries in terms of wages, ability to organize unions, etc... I believe she would also like to see global environmental standards too instead of a race to the bottom.

Someone should ask that criminal son of a bitch traitor why M3 money supply is no longer published, and why the Commodities Price Index has gone from 100 in year 2000 to 205 in year 2007. He oversaw the HALVING of the dollars value. Son of a bitch is a criminal.

Economics seems to be the only academic field whose scholars are scorned and hated by liberal leaning people. Economists have long felt that the government's role in a nation's economy is to keep capitalism from creating class divisions in society and to invest in public goods. The problem is that most politicians are lawyers so they think they're smarter than everyone else and don't listen to economists about the least destructive ways to achieve their fiscal goals. A lot of money is wasted because they subsidize corporations instead of consumers and set a million tax deductions instead of setting a simple graduated tax rate and only a page worth of deductions.
