True, but to be honest I'd rather just have a stable product that works all the time and has support. Not that I don't totally understand and respect the want-to-do-it-yourself person that's more into experimenting. That being said you have to admit most business and home users prefer the former.
THey're not. Look at the superslim Viao and Thinkpad ... they are very similar to the MB Air and around the same price. Besides no laptop other than an Apple runs OSX legitimately. How much is that worth (rhetorical question)?
