Every now and then I read an article that proves that we continue to live in a world of compassion and support. My heart aches and is also warmed by the story of this precious child that was only able to share her life for a short time. It's too bad that we have more stories to share of people helping others in their times of need, esp strangers helping strangers.BTW: Those diggers leaving condescending remarks should be ashamed of themselves. Attitudes of that sort do nothing but hurt others.
Good point.People LOVE to complain that there is nothing positive in the news. This is a good example why the news is so negative. Yes, it's sad a child died, but to see people who didn't even know this family "in person" reach out to help and support - that IS a newsworthy story. It shows that even in hard times people have compassion for their fellow human beings. The people on here who have made fun of Maddie's picture, made comments about her looking creepy or the pictures of her parents looking creepy are disgusting, tiny, nearly worthless human beings. That lack of compassion? That joy in another's sadness? Is why so much of what we read and see on television and in the news is so negative. I was embarrassed to see some of the immature, and inhuman comments here. Well, ashamed should be more like it. I sincerely hope that each person who left a comment like that has something happen to them that THIS example of their "humanity" comes back to haunt them in a personal and painful way. Several people here should be ashamed of themselves. It's so easy to act like a troll when you are hiding behind a monitor. Disgusting.
