Okay, let's start by reviewing female reproductive physiology. Chicks only ovulate once every ~28 days. Even in parts of the world like Cuba, where it is impossible to get condoms or pills due to the embargo and so abortion is more common, they don't need "abortion weekly". Or we could do this metaphorically.Cheese is food. Bread is food. Cheese is not Bread. No one is suggesting we use abortion for primary reproductive control. I repeat my suggestions for reducing the number of abortions. About half of all abortions are the second or third or higher number for a particular woman. I think an abortion should be followed with mandatory birth control counseling. A friend made a suggestion which I find interesting, but I'm not so sure of. Among those who have had several abortions, a large number have substance abuse problems. She thinks there should be a push to direct those with drug or alcohol problems to treatment after their abortion.
I think that I can say with a certain amount of confidence, that those of us in the pro-choice community, take your grief seriously and wish only to extend our sympathies toward you.
