explicitgamer.com— In the recent years ever since Skate was released, Tony Hawk has tried out some ideas and has failed. Is this the end for Tony Hawk?

Although, I will say, the Skate franchise isn't perfect and has added very little since the first game. I would like the ability to grab a board after a kick flip before catching it with my feet, and I would like every flip trick to look a little different based on how I flick the stick, not just how high it goes. The little things go a long way in a simulation style game.
So here I am, growing older all the time, looking older all the time, feeling younger in my mind.I'll never forget the first time I heard that song all the way through for the first time during a practice level. Before that it was just the first 1 minute and 59 seconds.
We now crave a realistic approach? I wouldn't say that's true for everybody, it's not too different from driving sims vs arcade racers. Both can coexist, it's just a matter of the Tony Hawk franchise "returning to it's roots" (I hate that phrase) and giving up the gimmicks and Jackass tie-ins.That's unlikely considering it's an Activision franchise though.
Tony can save face if he does the following:You guys remember that Project Natal promo video with the kid scanning his skateboard into the game and then riding around town with the use of his body only? The thing is that this video was only a demo of what could be expected from Natal. All Tony needs to do is be the first guy passed the gate with such a game. Done deal.P.S. Tony, please pay off my mortgage for saving your skateboard franchise.

It's fun also when I'm on the toilet. And at the bank. And on the bus. And...

When did the THPS games try to copy Skate? They went in the opposite direction and released that horrible Tony Hawk's Ride game instead.
