popularmechanics.com — "Women and minorities, in particular, are even further removed from the exciting opportunities in technology. Our culture convinces them at ever younger ages that science and engineering are not in fact for them. For many kids in this media age, literally all of their role models come from the worlds of entertainment and sports."

The segway made arrested development an even funnier show. The man is a hero!

No, I didn't take it as an attack. My point was that being white I can go into stores all the time and not have that stuff happen. My friends apparently have it happen to the point they don't care and choose to just to go on with their day.I agree.. if, as adults, we all teach are kids that everyone on this earth deserves to be looked at as a fellow human being even our conversation doesn't happen.

"Yes, companies do often leave spots for women and minority employees, but it has come to that considering the way companies have operated in the past. It's not an ideal solution, but it's a solution nonetheless."You realize your support discrimination?Care to address the lack of males in other fields? What about the lack of women in plumbing and construction jobs?

Huh, I wasn't aware "geek culture" was about being a sexist prick.

There are several schools of thought within feminism... more recent ones such as the Victim School of thought just pisses me off. It plays into the damsel-in-distress scenario but instead of man saving her, it is the government or regulation. The Elitist school of thought is no better. You can't be proud of something you didn't work for (read: your gentials). It should be all about Empowerment and Equality... meaning you empower yourself and show that you can be just as good as anybody. Legally, we should have the same rights as man and not be treated like second class citizens. I also believe that we shouldn't treat men like second class citizens by trying to ease the discomfort of women or minorities in classrooms. This is excluding sexual harrassment, of course.

I've met him twice through FIRST. Admittedly, he is a little bit into himself, but he's well beyond earned the privilege to be a bit arrogant, after all the lives he's changed. And do you honestly believe he made the Segway to phase out walking?I agree with Evilstanley, You're and idiot.

Right, having a racist institution like slavery that holds a people back for 200-500 years and then forgetting about those wrongs like they never happened isn't racist. No, it's not racist to force blacks into poverty and deny them decent housing, job opportunities or the right to read. Not in the least! Go to hell you know it all little s**t.

He did not invent water purification and last time I checked I never saw a person in a wheelchair going up stairs with it. Portable dialysis machine is merely just using new technology to make something more portable, not an invention an improvement.
