redeye.chicagotribune.com — At spas around Chicago, men in their 20s, 30s and 40s are ignoring discomfort in exchange for hairless chests, backs and abs. Male body waxing, shaving and trimming?above and below the belt?are turning into a big hairy deal.

Alright . . . I'll go there. I hate body hair. It started when I began shaving my head. Then I started grooming ALL other places of my body. I only shave my chest, stomach, and back though (other places look weird). I use hair trimmers on the rest but I leave the underarm hairs to grow freely (personally I feel too homosexual if I shave the underarms, stereotypical I know but . . . I'm honest).I am 40 lbs overweight though so I don't flaunt my body by any means. It's just 'cleaner' to me than looking like a caveman. ;-)TMI? Probably, but I am the king of TMI.

I'm not sure I approve, but my mustache would produce a lot of drag. That is, if I were an Olympic-caliber swimmer.

f**k that. Having hair on your chest is a sign of character and manliness (...or steroid use if you're of the fairer sex).

I've been shaving my head for ages, and within the last few years I began shaving my chest. I like the look. It feels more modern and clean. I "trim" my pubes, just to keep things under-control but I leave a fair amount of length.
