That's just too awesome. That means one less remote if you've got a Wii and a media-center Mac in the living room. Plus, since it's bluetooth, you can drive Front Row on the mac without line-of-sight.
Outstanding. Hopefully it won't be too much longer before someone gets this working as a combination apple remote + mouse. Even modal would be nice: click 1 or 2 to switch between remote and mouse. Then one input device would take care of everything I regularly need to do on my home-theater Mini.(Yeah, I know, I can use an Apple remote and a Bluetooth mouse. This would be better, not least because using a mouse from across a room is a little bit weird-- the scale of motion just feels off.)
go to you bluetooth preferences and delete the profile for the wii mote. It should be called something like Nintendo RVL-CNT-01. I had this problem earlier on my imac g5. After deleting the device it seemed to work. Just restart the application and try again.
The accelerometers are calibrated based off the developer's Wiimote and everyone knows that gravity is different in Japan. He's planning on releasing a version with calibration (and probably a dead zone), but it's unlikely that a lot of development will go into using the motion control for the mouse since the IR (which is an IR CMOS sensor that detects the IR LEDs on the sensor bar) does a bit of triangulation magic for much better mouse control. If anyone has any trouble getting it to sync with the 1+2 buttons, I had much more success using the red Sync button under the battery cover.P.S. Once you're done using it with your mac, quit the applications and resync it with your Wii by turning the Wii on and pressing the sync button on the remote and the sync button under the SD slot cover on the Wii. I'm not sure if it maintains a connection even after it has been quit, so there's a chance that it the mac could run down your batteries fairly quickly if you don't resync to the Wii.
