wired.com— More than a decade after the Internet went mainstream, the world's richest information source hasn't necessarily made its users any more informed. Americans know less about politics than they did in 1989.

Thanks for posting the link - it is a good read. Though you do have to admit that the study does suggest that Daily Show viewers are still "more informed" than O'Reilly or Limbaugh consumers. The difference isn't terribly dramatic (54% in the most informed category vs. 51 and 50%). And Wired does need to get a whack across the grill for manipulating information.

<a class="user" href="http://people-press.org/reports/images/319-2.gif">http://people-press.org/reports/images/319-2.gif</a> how about that one? You know the original source of this Wired hit piece. It puts the O'reilly Factor and Rush Limbaugh audiences at the top tier -- right along side the Daily Show. Limbaugh's is just as "Informed" and O'Reilly's is slightly further behind. The full summary of the study: <a class="user" href="http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=319">http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=319</a>

I did. Here's what I posted here on digg. "Wired was being so selective with this it's unfunny. Among the "most informed" along side the Daily Show and NPR?? The Rush Limbaugh and O'Reilly Factor audience. I think Wired's credibility after this is ZERO. <a class="user" href="http://people-press.org/reports/images/319-2.gif">http://people-press.org/reports/images/319-2.gif</a>" - I also sent them a letter to the editor calling for them to fire the person who put that graphic together. I'm sure they won't listen to me, that guy would've probably been fired long ago if they cared about journalistic integrity. Funny that they didn't link to the study, or even mention which one it was. This is it. <a class="user" href="http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=319">http://people-press.org/reports/display.php3?ReportID=319</a>

i kinda think it is a bit biased... the poll must have been an online and people who are already are online were there probably for newspaper sites..
