crooksandliars.com — On Monday, the Commission charged with investigating Israel's military campaign against Lebanon last summer issued its scathing report to Prime Minister Ehud Olmert. Last night on "The Daily Show," Jon broke down the contents of the report and noticed some staggering parallels between the conduct of Olmert and Bush.

Anyone else think Crooks and Liars is an amazing blog?

I totally agree. The really sad thing is, most Palestinians probably do or did too. They had Arafat getting rich off their backs for years and refusing to settle the core issues (not the only one, but it only takes one side to block progress). And on the Israeli side, every time a hawkish Prime minister was converted to the path to peace, he got subverted by radicals or shot. It's all extremely depressing, and infinitely more so if I lived there. And, btw, watch the quiet bigots going around digging everything remotely rational down. It's fascinating to watch.

Israelis are not arabs. There are arabs in Israel but they are the people who've been there for generations before Israel's occupation.

Criticizing Israel doesn't make you anti-Semitic. Arabs hate Israel because they see it as an unfair nation built on lands that were taken away from them. Of course in the Middle East this does tend to divulge into Antisemitism as Israel is built as a "homeland for the Jews", so for them it is logical to equate Israel with Jews in general.

Those that support Olmert are the same type of personalities that support Bush. Fanatical bigots who believe in authoritarianism.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Instead of finding any examples, you digg me down. Anyone who claims that they've been attacked as anti-semitic for attacking Israel is clearly lying.

You got it the other way around.
