gamespot.com— Based on Enterbrain's March sales figures for the Japanese market, Japan's Mainichi newspaper reports that Nintendo sold 380,000 DS Lites during the month and 180,000 original DS handhelds.

360 is popular in Japan because it's the only game in town for next-gen. Once Revolution comes out with some stupid game like "Super Happy Mario Dance Dance Noodle Sweet Candy Wario Wacky World", or when the PS3 comes out and releases "Dragon Fantasy Obi Gobi Goo XIX", you can say 'goodnight' officially to 360 sales in Japan for good.
The DS and PSP are in direct competition so it is a fair comparison and showing that it outsold Sony's top 2 game systems combined adds to the funny factor :DThat aside, who cares that nintendo has a smaller game library? I don't spend much time on more than the top 20 games for any console anyway and that's where nintendo's game library wins. Yes, I don't care that I'm playing Mario Tennis/Golf/Soccer/Kart for each nintendo system because each one is quite different and fun with tons of replay value.
ok then...well...lets seethe ORIGINAL DS outsold the PSP, it's "direct" competitorthis isn't an article touting the DS lite's sales compared to the PS2...it's just saying it sold so many units that it beat out both the PS2, and the PSP (It's competitor in the handheld arena) combined
