4colorrebellion.com— Mario greets you differently on the DS lite when booting up Mario Kart DS. Are Nintendo DS games aware when they’re on a DS Lite?

This actually does not have to be in the game software does it? Can't the ds lite detect what game its playing, and for certain games change simple things?
Sonic & Knuckles went as far as having a cartridge slot on the top of the game which you could use to enable some extra content, if you owned other sonic games. This doesn't seem so different. Tis pretty cool.
I appoligize imdwalrus and Dark JC "Um, he said from the articles COMMENTS, not the article itself. Maybe you should learn to read"I was looking at the dugg mirror because it was not loading on my computer and it only had 5 comments.I assumed that he made a mistake.

I just tried this, and it works! Definitly interesting, I wonder if Nintendo plans to do anything with it...
