You know it sounds like apple is running the whole thing, considering the statement atr the bottom about using a mac. It's like they're trying to make everyone stop using PC's and go over to macs just becuase you can excercise your FULL legal rights to your music...Just a thought, and I know it's not true, but its kinda funny how Sony is mad at apple, but they make it easier to have full rights on apple computers...this is why I use the russian site www.allofmp3.com I get my music for 2 cents a megabyte (about 10 cents per song) instead of 99 cents a song...try it out, its perfectly legal and cheap at the same time, and has mare selection than iTunes! Just my 2 cents (pun intended)

I hate DRM and recommend that no one purchase anything that even hints at DRM. That include purchases from iTunes or any other service that adds this hideous code. I also recommend not purchasing anything from companies that support DRM. Do this now or accept your slavery.

""You people are such sheep for iTunes and Apple, it's unbelievable. Talking about Sony being the proprietary Kings, but look at Apple! You can't use AAC on anything but an iPod, you can't run (a legal copy of) OSX on anything but what Apple sells, Apple makes the hardware that they sell, the OS that runs on that hardware, the DRMed music that only plays on their player, not to mention the fact that their player doesn't playback DRMed music purchased anywhere else on the net. Apple is worse than Sony as far as proprietary soft/hardware goes."Difference is that Apple stuff works really really brilliantly so why the hell would you want anything different :)"rofl'not to mention the fact that their player doesn't playback DRMed music purchased anywhere else on the net'And that's Apple's fault, yeah right.'OSX on anything but what Apple sells'So, you want to use OS X? Well, they make it why not take the most money out of it. And for your information, it's legal to use Mac OS X kernel on any computer, even x86. It's called Darwin but is meant more for developers. The main propietary part is Aqua. And can you run Windows on PPC instead of in Intel or AMD processors?'You can't use AAC on anything but an iPod'I'm using aac with Xine under Linux. The copy protected aac makes possible 'unlimeted backup copies'. This copies are audio-cds that can be ripped to any computer and to any player. It's like old cds without DRM.
