hackedgadgets.com— This Enigma kit is not a true reproduction since it uses modern components. For example LEDs replace the original lamps, but the operation is the same!

If you are looking for a mechanical reproduction, look at enigma-replica.com. Of course, that is a project to completely replicate it, and doesn't tell you enough to make your own, it is a bit closer to what I would want to buy.The DIY kit is, however, about 150 times cheaper than a real thing, and costs probably about 10-50 times less than the replica(including about 3.9 years less to build). Next best thing.

I'll digg it but I was expecting instructions for construction rather than a kit. Still awesome though.

Cool. But next time, please link to the actual site ( http://www.xat.nl/enigma-e/ ), not someone's lame blog. No digg.
