Unless, of course, you are like Carl Rowan, an adament anti-gun fanatic pushing laws and bans on everyone.....until you shoot a kid who jumped in your Washington DC swimming pool.....with a gun you were not allowed to have.....in a city that banned possession of handguns and operable long guns.Gun control has nothing to do with crime or guns, it has everything to do with control. Criminals do not obey the law, yet every gun law forced upon the law abiding makes us that much more vulnerable to criminals. I legally openly carry an unloaded handgun with ammuniton close at hand (loading it takes but a brief moment). I do not do this to be disruptive, I do this to protect myself and family from criminals that have more freedoms than I. Until the state of California issues me a uniformed Police officer of my very own....I'll take care of myself.Getting involved to fight gun legislation, takes much less time or effort than it does to go to a shooting range, and only costs the price of a stamp or phone call.
The question is: How can we educate the public who have these phobias and don't want to learn? Hmmmm, could we do free public service messages on guns?
The organized crime in power is frightened out of their wits.They’ve been stealing and defrauding a nation of people for generations and now they’re watching Americans buy guns and ammo at a feverish pace.And now they’re soiling their pants. Expect more gun laws soon.They’re going to vilify every militia and gun owner in the country.In other news, a community organization that runs soup kitchens, helps police find missing children and sponsors blood donation campaigns is smeared by Feds as a "terror cell" <a class="user" href="http://tinyurl.com/dgggqj" rel="nofollow">http://tinyurl.com/dgggqj</a>

Interestingly, in Officer Pyle's linked video at 9:40 is testimony (from 1989) that the rumor that semi-autos are being converted to full-autos are false.
