I've been in a cave, but I have my WRT54G with OpenWrt. I moded the Linksys box so I could put a directional parabolic dish. It amplifies the signal for my solar/fire powered laptop. Usually, no fire is needed because the laptop heats the cave quite nicely.I've been living in a cave and I know about OpenWRT!
yes me live in cave....what is internet? just kidding, actually I've been doing a lot of research on using a different firmware but I have yet to find one I really like. also www.linksysinfo.org is not working. I can bring up a cached copy of the site from google but they must be down.
I could care less about recognition... I use digg as a source for my blog, and when I come across something that is new (new to me), or something that I am currently playing with, that I don't see on Digg... I post it. Digg is my personal bookmarking tool.
