Mike, the creator of these custom apple logo filters is a really nice guy. If you look at the PowerBook instructions for installing a filter those are my hands and my PowerBook! :)
I have been doing warranty repair on Apples for the last few year and I'm really good at it. Their disassembly pdfs are excellent and way more complicated than these directions. Anyone who attempts this with a macbook or macbook pro in order to pimp it out is a fool. While the display rear housing is not a returnable core part, the lcd is. I guarantee that Apple would freak out with trying to return a core part that had f**ked with in such a stupid way.
"However, keep in mind that you should defiantly read through their tutorials and warnings before you go about this project."I'm always very defiant about reading tutorials and warnings. Most of the time I ignore them completely and try to figure it out on my own.Damn it azscott, you beat me to the punch.
I installed the classic Apple gel on my my when the warranty ran out. It was pretty easy but reinstalling the MacBook's screen bezel can be frustrating because of the plastic clips used to hold it in place.

@diggamerBecause if people do stupid things like that, they get blocked...just like you are going to be right about now.

I have found one that does not void your warranty and also you can customize the metallic apple logo on your iPhone.Check the website at www.macolors.com and the product they offer.http://s862.photobucket.com/albums/ab185/Macolors/ ...
